The Uvac is an international trans-boundary river, flowing through southwestern Serbia and cross into eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Special Nature Reserve is distinguished by the presence of 104 bird species, including the Griffon Vulture, one of the two vulture species that are still nesting in Serbia.
